Sports Square

Multiple sports venues, such as sandpits and children's playground, are set up in the square to provide ample space for sports and recreation.

Nanjing Eye Footbridge Square

Covering an area of about 2,300 square metres, Nanjing Eye Footbridge Square is one of the main areas where events and festivals are held by the park. It is also one of the first choices for creating a "night economy". It has held many big events time and again, such as Youth Olympic art lantern festivals, music festival in summer, Party for Great Guys, etc. On basement-1 of the square is the Nanjing Olympic Museum, and on basement-2 and basement-3 is the underground three-dimensional transportation system composed of the Yangtze River Avenue Tunnel and the main line of the Meizizhou Crossing Tunnel respectively.

Nine Horses Square

The main body of the square is an open lawn, starting from Jiangdong South Road in the east to Yanshan Road in the west, with a length of 380 metres and a width of 24 metres. At the east end of the lawn is the head sculpture of Mr. Coubertin, the father of the Olympics; the galloping horse in the westernmost section is a group of sculptures entitled "Nine Horses" made by the sculptor Tian Yuemin, with a height of about 8.9 metres and a length of nearly 60 metres. More than 30 groups of 69 sports sculptures are scattered among an array of trees on both sides of the lawn.

Nanjing Olympic Museum

Due to the opportunity of holding the second Nanjing Youth Olympic Games in 2014, the Olympic Museum was established with the theme of "Hundred Years of Fire, Youthful Nanjing", aiming at promoting the long, extensive and rich connotation of the Olympics and carrying forward its spiritual values of “excellence, friendship and respect”. It is a good place for outdoor training, entertaining and learning as well as parent-child study trip.

Flag Square

In the square hang 204 flags from countries and regions participating in the Youth Olympic Games as well as from event organizers. At the bottom of each flagpole is a national flag of a different country with its name in both Chinese and English. The neatly arranged flagpoles, like a stainless steel forest, pierce the sky, revealing the fortitude of the industrial age and unique design of the post-industrial era.

Jiangsu Smart Manufacturing Float

On January 12, 2020, the "Jiangsu Smart Manufacturing" float that has returned with great honor settled on the east side of the Nanjing Eye Tourist Area in Hexi, Nanjing, showing a different charm under the lamplight at night. The combination of "beauty and wisdom" of the float is a vivid epitome of the development of Jiangsu's "strong economy, rich citizens, beautiful environment and high level of social civilization".
